The Secret Key is an Item first appeared in Version 8 of TPPC.

Obtaining one in TPPCEdit

Currently in Version 8, the Secret Key is randomly obtained from a battle with a Rocket Grunt overrunning the Radio Tower.

The battle consists of three pokemon: Skuntank, Weavile and DarkMetagross. All three pokemons' levels are scaled to match the highest-leveled Pokemon in your party. Skuntank's moves are Psychic, Thunderbolt, Crunch, Cross Chop, Flamethrower, Icy Wind, Hyper Beam. Weavile's moves are Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Crunch, Hyper Beam, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower. DarkMetagross's moves are Rock Slide, Icy Wind, Hyper Beam, Cross Chop, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball.

You'll know the Radio Tower is overrun by Team Rocket if it says:

Not On Our Watch!

Team Rocket controls the radio tower now!

Hope you weren't expecting to get in on the fun! With Team Rocket in control, we're having a special promotion called Ragin' Rocket Friday. Here's how it works: You either battle or you get out. Actually, ignore that last part...

UsageEdit

Attaching the Secret Key to the first Pokemon in your party, and venturing the Map Dark Islands gives a chance to unlock a Secret Passage in the Map. This message appears when you unlock the secret passage:

What's This?
Looks like some sort of weird passage. There's a heavy lock on the door -- I wonder if the Secret Key will pop open the lock?

Clicking the link will let you fight the Missing Radio Engineer. Their team consists of MrMime, Steelix, Porygon-Z, Magnezone, Electivire, and Shaymin. Their levels, save for Shaymin, scale to the highest-leveled Pokemon in your party.
