Its nest is a sloped, bowl-like pit dug in sand. It patiently waits for prey to tumble down the pit, where it attacks with its jaws with the strength to crush even boulders. It can wait for long periods of time, as it can go without water for a week. It has a large heavy head, that makes it hard to get up if it falls on its back.

Normal	As of Version 8, the Normal version of Trapinch can be obtained by: Catching one at Meteor Hills. Secret Swapping at the Normal Secret Swap or Anything Goes Secret Swap.
Shiny	As of Version 8, ShinyTrapinch can be obtained by Secret Swapping at the Shiny Secret Swap or Anything Goes Secret Swap..
Dark	As of Version 8, DarkTrapinch can be obtained by Secret Swapping at the Dark Secret Swap or Anything Goes Secret Swap.
Golden	GoldenTrapinch is not released yet as of Version 8.
